Statement from Ronald Green, Epstein Becker & Green, P.C.
Thursday October 28, 6:41 pm ET http://biz.yahoo.com/bw/041028/286128_1.html NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 28, 2004--The Parties regret that this matter has caused tremendous pain, and they have agreed to settle. All cases and claims have been withdrawn and all Parties have agreed that there was no wrongdoing whatsoever by Mr. O'Reilly, Ms. Mackris, or Ms. Mackris' counsel, Benedict P. Morelli & Associates. We now withdraw any assertion that any extortion by Ms. Mackris, Mr. Morelli, or Morelli & Associates occurred. Out of respect for their families and privacy, all Parties and their representatives have agreed that all information relating to the cases shall remain confidential.

She previously rejected a $4 million settlement. The final one was probably at least twice that...

That guy's such an egocentric neanderthal schmuck. You'd have to be a brain-dead slug (or "NASCAR Fan" as Superman would say) to watch his show. I'll think of the settlement as someone getting compensated for all the times I've accidently listened to him as I'm channel surfing.

Too bad everything is secret, it would be interesting to know how exactly much money was involved.
Even if he got a chance to do a lot of dirty talking it probably worked out to a pretty expensive per minute charge. Bill should just stick with the 1-900 numbers. It will be cheaper in the long run for him. |

She absolutely had a case, (and tapes), she set a trap once he started harrassing her. Not saying that she is an angel, (I have no idea), but bet your bottom dollar that O'Reilly and his lawyers bent over and squealed like little pigs for her lawyers.
That was an expensive squashing for him, I just hope and anticipate that those tapes still leak out somehow. He is a phony POS.

You make fun of Limbaugh for Oxycontin abuse. You make fun of O'Reilly for the harrassment lawsuit.
I guarantee that if these things had happened to someone who shares YOUR political viewpoint, you'd be up in arms. Many of you continue to defend President Clinton even to this day. Are Bill O'Reilly's viewpoints so intellectually challenging that you can't develop a rational argument against them? MUST you escalate everything into a personal attack?
