Drove a Volvo S60R
In my never ending search for the daily driver car, I came across a suprise in the Volvo S60 R. 300 hp, I5 motor with nice tuned suspension and AWD. Anyone own one out there???
Also considering a Infinity G35 sedan AWD(have not driven yet) and a Scooby Legacy GT.(drove it....liked it). Opinions? The 911 search has been postponed until my move to Denver next month....then full speed ahead.

Though I haven't driven one, I would take an Acura RL over the Volvo, just based on reliability. I hear the new RL is a very nice piece of equipment.

I have an 02 Turbo AWD S60. It has over 40,000 miles on it, and I have had zero problems. The dealership has treated my wife great when she has gone in for oil changes, and I am genuinly pleased. If the R was out when I was looking I would have definilty got it. If you can get a used one, do it and save the hit, or even get the V70 R, I just liek the versatility of the wagon.
Bill Steve my mom has a Type S TL, and has a had a TON of problems which has surprised me. I go can in details in anyone one wants, its even as small ass the rear door handles literally falling apart... |

I just drove the S60R this weekend on a small auto-x track at the auto show, it was nice. I own a 05 Legacy GT and love it hard to beat the performance and price. Also if you want a manual it's hard to find a G35 in manual not sure about the volvo. I drove a G35 and it was nice but way to soft. The G35 lacks the performance feel, the numbers are there but it was not that fun to drive.
I talked to a driver at the auto-x that drives new cars around tracks for customer demos and when I told him I bought a legacy he got excited and told me that car is great. He then proceeded to tell me that they did a comparison test with the legacy and BMW 330 ($40K car) and the subaru beat it with ease and was a better performance car that even shocked me since I love the 3 series. My vote is for the Legacy the AWD, 250HP/Torque, and 30K price is hard to beat.

The Subaru was great to drive. Price is dead on, the thing that got me on the Volvo was the push button suspension adjustment. It was no BS adjustment to the ride feel of the car. Price does count in life. I am able to get the Ford "A" plan on the car and with all the other discount etc. brings the car down to 36K. Only seen a couple of used ones in the country w/o the body kit which, BTW, makes the car look great. I am going to drive the Infinity this weekend, the only make it in a automatic for the sedan. With all the end of the year discount cash given out, it is a great time to look at these cars.
