Canon Optura XI

Anyone have one of this nifty little video cameras? I was thinking about buying one, and would love to hear impressions if you've owned one or tested one.

Somewhere in the back of my mind, there's an arty movie about Porsche driving forming.

Thanks,

Jason

Before the Optura XI was out, I bought the Canon Optura PI. It's a fantastic camera! Instead of hiring a videographer, my wife and I bought this camera. It was a very good decision. Now I can dub in my own Journey soundtrack and two-bit cheezy graphics!!

I have an Optura XI.
I love it. Have shot tons of video with it. mounted in car too. Does have a stabilizer yet at times it works better with that feature off.
The only fault I see is that the DV tape loads from the bottom, so if you mount to a tripod or in-car and you have to change tape you have to take it off the mount. So always start with a new tape, and plan tape changes.
Other than that tons of features 3 chip on the color, and great lense.
Check Panasonic web site I got a 200 dollar mail in rebate from them!! made the choice even easier.

Thanks guys.
Is the picture clarity very good in good lighting? One of the uses for these will be to make some music videos, probably not for broadcast, but I'd still like to put have really nice high-res vid.
