odd question, Houseparty the movie and Ben Wallace

For the "out there" files, here is my question.

To those who remember Kid 'n Play and house party I have a question.

The NBA has some new video game out with Ben Wallace from the Pistons on the cover. In one of the scenes in the commercial it has Ben in front of the mirror teasing his fro and while a rap song is playing he says "It's gonna be huge"

Is this not a direct copy(intentional) of a scene from Houseparty 1 where Kid was doing and said the exact same things while the same song was playing(while he was getting ready for the party)?

I know this is a strange one, but it's been over a decade since I've seen that movie (hey it was funny at the time). Thanks.
