Porsche zooms to record profits.....
Apparently driven by the success of the Cayenne..
![]() http://www.finance24.com/Finance/Companies/0,6778,1518-24_1621483,00.html Porsche zooms to record profit 15/11/2004 21:44 - (SA) Stuttgart, Germany - Porsche, the German maker of luxury sports cars, said Monday that its profits raced ahead to record levels in the 12 months to July, despite the difficult economic environment. Porsche said in a statement that it had attained pre-tax profit of €1.088bn in the year ended July 31, 16.6% more than in the preceding 12 months and the highest level in the company's history. Net profit was up 8.3% at €612m. Unit sales rose by 15% to 76 827 vehicles in the business year, pushing revenues up by 13.9% to €6.36bn. Sales growth was driven by the success of Porsche's Cayenne sports utility vehicle, the car maker said. And the consistent popularity of the Cayenne made Porsche optimistic for the current business year, which runs from August to July, it said. "At the same time, we assume that the new generation of 911 and Boxster cars, which are in the process of being launched, will provide additional momentum for business," Porsche said. "We're expecting further growth again this year." LeRoux

Anything that keeps them in business, means we still can get parts for our cars...

Well seeing how cheaply made the new ones are is no suprise.
Not to mention the parts price increases, That help boost the profits also. |
