faith....why cant evolution fit within religious beliefs?

i seriously doubt God created man with a "POOF!" why do we insist that God's day is the same as our 24 hour day? the universe was whipped up in another day? maybe a God day is the same as our 2.817 million years. who knows? i wasnt there.

What if say, the Bible part 1 (old Test) was a profile and poetic story line of the developement of the human soul and psche - mind you, I think 2500+ years ago they thought and wrote in a different context then today along with the need to explain the messages with imagery. The general pop wasn't as technical.

And say the 2nd hal (New Test) was really just a bunch of letters to different folk (Greeks, Romans, Jews and Scribes) about a new way to worship that had more to do with interspection and going beyound the basic commandmants, eliminating idolotry and hypocracy - bring God, Man and a LiaSON all together as a comprehensive unit - a trinity. God = Man = GodMan. Sorry it I offended anyone - forgive me Father John!
