Yeah, I figured it as much. Think about all the animated movies you do like, and think about the characters... If you came to the conclusion that "Fritz the Cat," "Wizards," "Roger Rabbit," and "The Incredibles" were good (which they were), that's because those characters weren't previously from 30 min. shows with establish plots. They were designed from the ground up for two hours. What I'm getting at is that most of these characters can't carry anything longer than thirty minute segments - hell, most of them can't carry seven-minute shorts. The only characters who can carry longer scripts are the Looney Tunes who also happen to be deep in personality. "The Simpsons" can do it too as they have very strong personalities. Sponge Bob is a sponge. As for the Looney Tunes, it's not that no one knows how to write scripts for these characters - it's that studio management doesn't understand them and are afraid of their abilities to offend and not be politically correct - which was always their forte. One needs someone like Michael Jordan, Jeff Gordon and Brandon Fraser to star with Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck to tame both down. Of course, we all know Bugs and Daffy are much better actors than Brandon Fraser, or whomever.

South Park did it, and the South Park movie is far better than any episode of the TV series.

We'll be taking our boys to go see it anyways. They are excited about it, maybe I can change their minds with Polar Express or Incredibles.
