i dont think i could ever understand women.

there isnt a single woman in my life that listens to my opinion. none. i think they are all so goddamn stubborn. why do they (girlfriends) have to be soo cute? and have that other anatomy thing we so desire? GOD is a total jokester. arrrggghhhh.

they got me to make the t-day dinner, but they are taking over! the first damn thing the ladies cooked are the fried shrimp. keep in mind that we are not eating for a few hours. cold fried shrimp! yummy! i had the timing perfect with the turkey! now i am abandoning ship and going internet surfing on pelican....

gay sounds good.

Edited for language. -Z-man.

Dude,

You are going to give yourself a nervous meltdown if you try to apply logic and reason in a futile attempt to understand their behaviour...

BTW - if you ever figure things out, please post results here first...

there is a simple solution. Send the wife and kids to her parents for t-day. Do a drive and/or surf in the morning. Wash and wax the car in the afternoon. Then head over to a friend's for turkey.

Simple. No muss...no fuss.

Vash,

I have been told by old timers that it is possible to understand women, however by the time you can accomplish this, its too late to do anything with the knowledge...

There is no rhyme or reason to females. Also thought briefly about the gay thing but have you seen the Grid Girls photos? Nah, just would not be right but at least guys understand guys...

Vash - got set the rules. Momma knows when I'm in the kit, stay out - upside for her is that I will also clean up.

As far as the gay thing, I'm not but I know a few guys and gals that are. The woman seem to have it down. The guys are the worst - nice enough but the most jeolous and insecure things you ever met when it comes to their man(s).

I bet if God made a third type of sex, then things would get interesting!

Wait wait wait...as a man the only thing you should be in charge of today as far as cooking is the Turkey.

Everything else - including the cleanup of everything except the turkey is the responsibility of the women in the house.

ONE man should be handling the turkey (unless a second is needed to transport it into and out of the deep frier if you're using one) and only ONE man. The rest of the MEN should be lounging appropriately with football, video games or some other form of entertainment.

Please don't show this to my wife.

Hilarious! I've found the key to a woman is to be a man and take on as much responsibility as possible. And when you're finished with that, take on more. Anything that allows her to kick back a bit, will make life much better for both of you.

Sooo...even if you don't cook the turkey, show interest in it. Hang around, but don't, for goodness sake, fawn or shadow her. Clean up? Yes, do it. Don't sit around. Washing dishes could be the start of a whole new love affair.

Sure, today I'm jealous of the guys who went on the Mulholland-Malibu run, but I thought it'd be just unfair to my wife to go driving around in lieu of everything that needed to be done for the feeding of ten people. In the long run, the brownie points won by helping with Thanksgiving will go a lot farther than a drive to the beach. So Vash, don't worry, man: the girls notice.

About the gay thing, well, I can't speak from personal experience, but I don't think souls of that ilk are any happier than heterosexual couples. Plus, if you do decide on that lifestyle, you have to start buying jeans two sizes too-small to - you know - show off "the package."

LOL! Maybe that's where I went wrong...I thought that gaining twenty pounds or so (thus making the jeans two sizes too small) would impress my long time girlfriend. I sure don't understand women, but seem to be doing something right (at least with this one). Personally, I'd end the relationship before looking elsewhere (...MUCH easier with no kids involved). Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

You guys have it all wrong on what it takes after the dinner...

A good foot massage does wonders. Up side is that they are putty in your hands, down side is that it can make them so relaxed that they go to sleep!

Trying to figure out women is like trying to figure out liberals... all good intentions and feelings, no substance or logic!

At least it didn't turn out like this: http://news.bostonherald.com/localRegional/view.bg?articleid=55985 !

Cliff, man I told you it's all about shoes. Shoe shopping fixes everything. Lay down the law, no pun intended, let 'em get pissed at you. Then, take 'em shoe shopping. Fixed!

There was one man.... Isiah Jacob Bustenhalter.

He figured out what exactly it is Women want.

Unfortunately, he died laughing before he could tell anyone.
