Thing's that makes you go hmmm ..........

You think your brain has a full control of your feet? Try this . . .

Left brain, right brain. While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction and there's nothing you can do about it.

I drew the 6 the french way, sarting from the bottom and going up (eg clockwise) and my foot did not change direction. Then I tried the american way, eg drawing the six counterclockwise, and my foot changed direction. It is practically impossible to have the right foot and right hand turning in opposite directions. However, it is possible with the left hand and the right foot. Funny wiring.

Weird.
Hey Art, you are a drummer too, huh?
Well, we have two great things in common.
I have been playing for about 30 years. Started when I was 5.

Wayne,

I've been playing drums since I was about 7 or 8 and I'm 43 now! I have a vintage set of Slingerlands and also play a Roland Studio Pro set at my church. There are a few drummers here, pretty interesting!

I still have the first kit I bought myself, back in 1985.
Custom ordered from Sasko's.
It started out Candy Apple Red but has been painted a few times and is now black.
22x16 kick
15x14 tom
16x16 floor
16x18 floor
custom 14 x 10 snare
It's packed away in cases for now. It seems my 1year old son may have the drumming instinct already.
Jimmy Marinos of The Romantics was a very big influence for me, as well as Buddy Rich, Neil Peart, and Tommy Lee.
I got the chance to meet Jimmy M. when we played at Harpo's in the 80's.
Really nice guy and he is into cars, not Porsche's but old Caddy's.
BTW- How's the house coming along now that winter is kinda here?
