There'll always be something faster.
But Porsche still holds the Nordschleife record for "Fastest Production Car with a Leather Interior from a Highly-Profitable Company that Builds SUVs." |

I'd hardly call that car a "production car". Impressive at 1.8 though.

Good point. The term "production car" generally refers to Group N in international competition. Homologation issues aside, requiring a minimum quantity of 5000 cars be produced before that model can be considered a "production car" makes quite a bit of sense.
So how many Carrera GTs has Porsche built, anyway? Or GT2s and GT3s for that matter? |

Looks like a Lotus/Chaptman-7 gone bad.
![]() 1.8 L turbo.....................even if that were strapped to a skate board it would make me wonder how they did it.............and I like light weight cars.

I thought they said 200 CGT's were to be made. Its funny how people get all worked up about Porsches being beat. Fastest track time, IMHO, has never been what Porsche is about... Although they are happy whey they get one, an endurance race is where the 1.8T doesn't stand a chance.
