You're wrong. Most guys like this do not go through the police.

Ever.

Some internet whackos really are whackos. Is it really worth it to knowingly instigate a perfect stranger who is telling you up front that he is extremely violent?

LOL...i'm just saying. ;)

PS: Never got the car back eh? It amazes me what some people will tolerate...

His operation is entirely inside. No stormwater runoff. Also San Francisco has combined sewers, so even if there was it goes to the POTW.

He did astoundingly ****ty work on the car I bought from him--but at least all the parts were there...

Thats just unbelievable.

Is E-bay trying to commit suicide? I wouldn't touch it with a 10ft pole at this point.

Bump for this Krieger wanker

just ripped of one of our fellow Aussie pelicans 2.5 K for a set of P&C's that never showed up, he operates through eBay as well.

Only a matter of time before he rips off the wrong guy.

stivmequin 03-14-2010 07:10 AM

Richard Kreeger, Sears Point Classics....has fraud me, too.
I live in Italy, I've sent him $1.464 for a set of cylinders/pistons that I've never received.
Anybody can help me? How to contact the police in USA?
You can join me by mail: catcate2002@hotmail.com

regency 03-26-2010 12:05 PM

stivmequin, I feel your pain & I hate to hear that you've lost your $. I've lost $ & time from dealings with the same person. I have a file with his written workorder. the items we agreed upon were never done even though I paid to have them done. It was not until I gave up and terminated contact that I then dis-assembled the engine only to find the worn out pistons, chinese counterfit cylinders, mismatched & worn out E & T throttle bodies, worn out, heads, valves, springs and the best part, no seal at the oil pump.........it's no wonder the engine made no oil pressure. His answer to me was, "Just drive it, early 911's don't make very good oil pressure". Plus, the engine had so many leaks it made a mess. I ended up starting over from scratch.

You might have "lucked out", I learned the hard way, I only buy from Company's with a solid reputation.

sounds like he should get a job at m.m. with roy. they are building a solid reputation.

Wayne Krieger - Convicted Felon/ Porsche Rip-Off Operation

I am sorry to hear that Mr. Krieger may still be breathing and up to his occupation of ripping people off involving transactions relating to vintage Porsche automobiles and parts. I had the misfortune of being taken for in excess of $10,000.00 by Mr. Krieger in the early 90's when he was operating out of Morgan Hill (DBA 911 Engineering).

Prior to that an Assistant District Attorney ran him out of Monterey County, when he was working out of Salinas under the name of Restore-A-Porsche.
Among his many acts of fraud perpetrated under the Restore-A-Porsche banner, Mr. Krieger also managed to get a DUI in a customer's car.

There were scores of people in Santa Clara County who were ripped off by him, and outside of having a joint raid (CHP/BAR) of his shop, we all were told in spite of his outright criminal theft, our only remedy was through civil litigation. I cannot tell you how exasperated I was when after repeated contacts by me to the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office and my informing them that they had a convicted Felon (Possession of 2.2 Kilos of Cocaine With Intent To Distribute - San Mateo County) operating an unlicensed repair/restoration facility (BAR - Would not License Wayne Krieger) in their jurisdiction, and using said business for the express purpose of committing theft/fraud, they (Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office) would take no action against Mr. Krieger to protect the public welfare. The end result was many of us were left holding worthless judgments against Mr. Krieger, because he is effectively judgment proof and never kept any assets under his name. I would suggest that any of you who are looking for remedy after dealing with Mr. Krieger, file suit against his wife Pamela if he is still married to her, because she functioned as his mule in concealing his cash and assets. If he has a new wife currently, she will be the one you are legally entitled to go after if you can confirm that she has benefitted from his fraud. His history would indicate that he is still using someone to conceal his assets.

Some of the cases involving Mr. Krieger were actually mind blowing; one guy in particular took his car in for restoration and never got it back. The car was stripped, parted out and sold off. During the course of the aforementioned CHP Raid, an investigating officer informed me that a VIN Number on a Porsche Carrera in the 911 Engineering shop, actually came back as that of a school bus. At the time Krieger might do one or two legitimate cars for a very high net worth individual(s) who could legally burry him if he did not deliver, and then use these as testimonials to solicit new business. The standard process was one of you bringing in your car and everything appearing above board (e.g. you were given work order copies, estimates, receipts, etc.) and then you left your car there, which became the beginning of your nightmare. Your car would be dismantled, and you would have to shell out money incrementally along the way for requisite part acquisitions, labor, paint, etc. The job would drag well past the original agreed upon timeline, and you would be in a situation of allocating additional monies to Mr. Krieger in hopes of him finishing the job. This is when he had you (i.e. your car was there, you had no leverage anymore, and you did not feel good about it but you were throwing good money after bad, in an effort to resolve the situation and get your car back). The problem was at this stage you were going to be incredibly blessed if you ever saw your car or at least a fraction of it again.

The result of our combined efforts against Mr. Krieger was that he closed up shop and relocated to the Bay Area (Hunters Point) and began operating under the name of South Bay Motors or some semblance of that title. His process is one of changing business names (DBA) and often locations and counties when things start to get to hot for him after his theft/fraud campaigns become widely known. In summary your thread inspires recall of a conversation I had during that period regarding Mr. Krieger to a then Deputy District Attorney (Monterey County). His statement to me was " The only thing that ever really stops a guy like this, is if someone leaves him face down in a ditch and no longer breathing". My response was "How vigorously would your office pursue an investigation if that winds up being the case"? He looked at me and in measured tones said, " I can't guarantee you we would not prosecute".

I wish all of you well, as we have suffered a hell at the hands of this guy and a legal system unwilling to protect the public trust.

ScottKelly911 07-23-2010 01:51 AM

Why hasn't anyone gotten the FBI involved? Obviously is M.O. is just packing up and moving when things start to go awry. But the FBI could do something as he's shown a pattern of fraud, whereas the county district attorney's can't really do too much.

Wow, good thing I checked Pelican before spending any money! Is this the same guy? air.cooled.356.911 | eBay

He goes by Rich, I noticed a few posts up that this "Wayne Krieger" also goes by Richard Kreeger. His Ebay username is air.cooled.356.911 Coincedince or not?

Zeke 07-19-2011 05:43 PM

A quick search shows Pamela Ann Krieger is "related" to Wayne Richard Krieger. If you reverse his name to Richard Wayne, he comes up in the areas mentioned by FUSSRGC. She comes up in the areas as well. The records are old. Didn't see anything around Novato. All of that means little to nothing.

Anyone know if ebay seller dporschepartsman is Wayne Krieger?

Thanks,
Doug

I don't think so. However, I'd continue to research until you're sure.

dporschepartsman is a legit business, although at their prices don't expect the inventory to turn over any time soon. i had one exchange w/ them to let them know that the "original" 356A Bosch ignition switch (priced at $325) was actually a modern OEM replacement. i received a very patronizing reply but they did not "clarify" the description. see their (hundreds of) postings on the Samba as GR & Sons.
re: Wayne, a review of his feedback turns up literally dozens of "...feedback mutually withdrawn..." entries.
hmmm...
one presumes that they were all negative. it's a wonder that his feedback rating is as high as it is (90%)
there are entries from buyers referring to FastClassics. what's up w/ that ?
his response to negative feedback almost always involves blaming someone else (the shipper, etc.) and he is fond if referring to the buyer as a "fool".
a real class act
