|
Ask the folks on the 356registry.org digest
Good luck getting your car back |
do you knowhim?
|
His reputation is "interesting." Do a search on "born2bfast" here and on the early911Sregistry.com website. Best of luck in recovering your car.
|
How long has this guy been operating now?!?
|
|
born2bfast@comcast.net
or call toll free 888.356.4911 Voice mail with female voice... Guy has a few people "looking" for him on the 356 list. |
I hate dirtbags like this, we should unite and rid the world of people that think they can get away with this type of BS
|
Found a local # on his site and did a reverse look-up. Here's the address and local #:
Born 2 B Fast 1695 Galvez Ave SAN FRANCISCO, CA 94124 415-826-0667 Hope your car isn't in the For Sale section. |
Here's a fresh number he just gave me from an e-mail inquiry I sent a little while ago:
"sold that one , we are doing a 62 back cab now wayne 415 793 5527" Give him a call and tell him you are John Davidson from Blackhawk and you are interested in the 356 they are restoring. |
Good luck with this schmuck...people have been chasing his a$$ for years. Best bet is to show up with Cousin Guido and take him for a ride....
|
I knew of this guy more than a decade ago. He was in Gilroy, then Salinas making "new cars out of old".
He would spend months on the road searching out 356's etc. in ANY condition, down to open field hulks. Then.... He'd take two or even three rust bucket 356's and rotisserie weld the best parts together into one car, then tart them up & flog them on the roadside every August in Monterey. Never disclosed anything to anyone that I know of. Sad to hear he is stil in action...:( :( :( |
Last fall he was still in SF, born2bfast. All I can say is, be careful how you approach this. I suggest you get your car back immediately, using any legal way that will work.
Do not even try to reason with the guy. This is not a regular shop. Going there to talk to Wayne will be a challenge. There is nobody home, but the poor folks that work for Wayne. The place is practically in a barn, in one of the worst areas of town and a horrible mess. I could not even see remote signs of any bookkeeping or other normal business practise. This place must solely live off the internet. Any sane person that goes to this "shop" will be seriously repelled. Good Luck, George |

I guess Wayne decided to copy Motor Meister's business model. |
In the City of San Francisco, huh? They have pretty tight business and env'l regs. ...
Gee - I wonder if all his stormwater permits are in order? Who lives in the City and wants to drill this guy? |
Born2bfast?!
Hmmmm,
You mean the guy with one good eye? Well I know he lives in Novato and his shop is on Galvez St. in SF. He should be there checking up on his poor employees most of the week. You should just wait for him in your car. He drives up in his red truck or one of his Porsches in the afternoon. Also has a warehouse around Sears Point I believe. |
His website has numerous inaccuracies. He's got a nice 73S Targa, "matching numbers", with a 2.2 MFI. That must be a very rare car and a steal at 29,500. And it's not just the problem of typo's so much as the site claims experience in restoration and service for over 30 years! You'd learn these things after 3 decades!

i got a REALLY slow day, planned at work friday. i will try to drive by to ask for advice or something. i'll really "dumb up". anything anyone wants me to look for? that is if, i can get anyone to go with me. i am too pretty for hunter's point! thinking about it, i bet they are closed on Christmas eve.
