Someone please explain to me how this does not fall under "hate speech"? Is it because it's an organized "church"? I'm not Baptist, but how does this organization continue to be affiliated without other Baptist organization shutting it down?

What minster or clergy or other wise could possibly use a natural disaster to further their cause. I doubt even OBL is praising Allah for the killing of any "infidels" over there.

On a slight aside:

There is a local politician here who on Monday decided to enter a bill to rename the local cross county "parkway" to "Ronald Regan Parkway" because it has a better "ring" than the current name of Prince William County Parkway (where it's located). I wrote a great letter to the editor and his office but have yet to hear back. Today, they annouce he's trying to get affinity licenses plates that have interlocking gold bands and say "Traditional Marriage". WTF?

I'm not gay, but for some reason that offends me.

From what i understand most of the Swedes that died (and are still dying) are children.

My cousin his wife and two children are still missing and most probably dead. Their 3rd son Viktor did survive though.
Sweden is a small country so almost everyone knows someone that are dead or injured in this catastrophe.

However the people that need most help are the poor native people in the region. Please help them by giving money etc to the Red Cross etc.

Westboro Baptist Church is a bit of a misnomer, as it's neither Baptist nor a Church -- it's a collection of hateful people who read the Bible only enough to find quotes that they can pretend support their utterly inane cause. To date, I haven't actually met an honest-to-goodness Christian (let alone anyone else) who was in support of these idiots (aside from trying to communicate with the folks at godhatesfags.com via e-mail). I can't imagine how this action doesn't fall under hate propaganda. I wish it was only one isolated moron who had started a sick website -- but he has _followers_!! That's what really scares me.

I looked at the site. The really sad part is that there are kids in the photos of rallies, like 15 years old or so holding up signs and wearing T-shirts promoting the church. Those people will grow into hateful adults.

As a "church" I bet this guy gets tax exempt status as well.

Yes i have some american friends and i know that this is not representative for the US.
