Dan,
I'll be praying for you. God blessed me with a wonderful wife (we met and dated in high school and I knew then that I would marry her). We've been married 18 years (as of yesterday) and I couldn't ask for a better wife! I hope you find someone as special as you are!

Thom -- like so many things in life, we laugh because it's funny and we laugh because it's true. I can utterly relate to that whole "duct tape her mouth shut on the 3rd date" business. Aargh, women today can be so pathetically awful to talk to!!! Um, yeah, and that's why I was so excited when I talked with this one for an hour and a half -- we actually talked, and it didn't annoy me!!!
![]() Art -- thanks for the prayer, and happy anniversary! 18's quite a while. ![]() Oh, and Thom -- one of my sailors did that, actually. He's still technically married to this woman, and the arrangement is that he makes her house payment, and she takes no legal action against him. If she talks to a lawyer, he stops making house payments. Crazy. Sad.

As usual, this thread is worthless without pics!

Here's one from this summer. She was hardcore religious, and hardcore Republican, so things didn't work out. More for the religious aspect, as I refused to go to church. She's an opera singer, and had a great voice and a great set of lungs

hmmmm, looks like it might be time for an ultimate "women you're glad you dumped (or you're glad they dumped you)" thread. I have a few...

djmcmath,
I knew within 5 minutes of talking to my wife for the first time we would get married - I told her so and she laughed at me. She lived in Nebraska and I was in Boston at the time. Me wait in Chicago in a hotel bar. We were married 4 years later, been together for 7. Coincidence? Devine intervention? Luck? Don't "know", just what I believe, is. Do what you feel - your faith will guide you. Have fun... As afr as God goes. Few weeks ago, my 5yr old boy asked me what God was "God is". "What is God Dad?" "God is." "But what is he?" "Yes" "hgnh?" "Believe in God - and it is" "Oh...so if I believe in God he is all around me?" "You got it little guy, you got it."
