I too have experienced such loss and my prayers are for you and your family to find peace throughout this time of sadness.

You will find solice in memory, of times well spent with your mother...while the passage of time never really heals the loss, time provides context, a framework for living. In each day for the rest of my life I will think of my mother, who passed away in 1990., and still love her so.

My sympathies to you and yours. I hope the outpouring of care and concern from your friends in the pelican forum has been comforting to you.

To all - I do tons of public speaking but normally I am a private person. This site has been a chance to open up and take a chance on expressing ideas and feelings. You folks are really good people (regardless of your politic!). For once I am at a loss for words. I have to catch a plane - thank you guys (gals). You have no idea how much it means.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Lost both of my parents just over 10 years ago and there is not a day gone by that I do not miss them. Spend time with your Father while you are able.

Mike, my heart goes out to you and your family, I lost my father to the same disease. It almost killed my Mom taking care of my Dad for three years. Your father sounds like a great man who loved his wife dearly. There are some of us out here that know just how difficult it is to cope with a slow loss of faculties. Time will help heal, Doug
