Then come back with a truer picture of the causes of racism.

Ask yourself:

What party, at the risk of its own future, backed the Civil Rights movement.

What happened when the folks in the South in particular didn't like what their party was doing and became first Dixiecrats then Republicans

Racism has many faces.
