I agree 100%!!!
If I have a "next one" she will definitely be very financially secure, have rock hard abs (or close to it! ha) and her plastic surgeon's number in her cell phone....probably her shrink's number too! ha |
From my Grandad - "Whether you're rich or poor, it's nice to have money."

"Always live within your means. Even if you have to borrow to do so."

My Grandfather liked to know where a person stood. His advice to me: "*****, stand or stampede, pick one. Folks like to know what they're dealing with. Make a choice and move on."
I miss his candor. |

I will never forget my dear departed grandfather. He would put his hand on my shoulder and say, "Son, never...No...Always..." I don't remember exactly. It's been a long time.

"If it f*cks, floats, or flies it's for certain cheaper to rent than to buy" Best for real: "Belive none of what you hear and half of what you see" - my grandfather. The man was a sage. Too bad he died when I was seven, but I was old enough to learn many a good thing from him. . . |

However, my all time favorite is the story that R. Duvall told Sean Penn in the movie Colors about the two bulls. I was going to cut and paste it from movie-page.com but I'm not sure if that's the best thing to do for a couple of reasons... good advice though |

Supposed native American proverb:
If you can't eat it, ride it, or f**k it it's not worth fighting for. My Dad: Why don't you just buy a car that was made to go fast in the first place! The Bible: Know the truth, and it will set you free. |
scottmandue -- your dad is a Jenius!
I recently came up with my own corollary to that law (so it was advice I gave myself...) and kind of goes along with the "it's just as easy to fall in love with a rich girl..." advice: "Why not buy a car that's already been restored? Moron." That last little bit at the end is so I pay attention. JP |

This one fits the times I think...
"A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, much less die, nothing he holds in higher regard than his own personal safety is no man at all, but a miserable creature who has no chance of ever tasting life or being free unless made free and kept free by the sweat, tears and blood of men much better than himself." Don't know who said it though... |

From a former Hungarian "Freedom Fighter", tho I doubt many here even knows what that means: "Choose your beliefs carefully. You may have to die for them." BTW, I know where the best Hungarian restaurant in Oregon is located. ;)
