In the bedroom (had to give up the office for one of the kids to have a bedroom). Wife's windows machine, my dual amd box (heats the room a few degrees) running Linux, my iMac server running Linux, and a laptop runnning Linux for when I want to lay down on the love seat or bed and surf. All networked. Also have a spot in the garage for doing repairs, etc. and a laptop out there for readign electronic docs while I work on my 356.

Brian,
Here you go. One 15", one 17" and one 20" inch flat panel. Two scanners (negative and business card) in front and a flatbed underneath. Connected to the corner part of the desk is a 8' Hayward work station where the laptop and other computer (networked) are stationed. Once you get used to two (or more) monitors its almost impossible to go back. I multitask using the monitors by putting email on one, and various internet browsers, Word documents or Excel files on the others and get a lot more work done at one time. Its easy to set up, let me know if anyone is interested. JoeA http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1106802708.jpg |
Alright I'll contribute - here is my desk at home.

Bryan,
Just had a friend of mine send me a .jpg of a computer work station with 13 monitors. Looks "very nice" and would post it but they have some photos of ladies in various stages of undress and the mod would not appreciate it. If you (or anyone else) would like to see it, email me directly. joeaksaATattglobal.net (replace the AT with @) JoeA |

Lol! Funny! Our whole house is done in that stuff. My wife does, indeed, dig it. My guess is your office is the same as my den-Arrow Wood. Hard to tell though as light plays tricks with it. Very nice. |
Amir, dont hurt yourself with those 2.5 lbs weights... http://www.pelicanparts.com/support/smileys/lol2.gif

I don't have pictures but here is my home setup:
5 laptops - all connect wireless g 2 Media PCs - one in the living room connected to the Sammy DLP, one in the game room connected to the other HD set. I am ordering a mini mac to connect to my game room TV as well to see what macs are like. I used to have a desk and an office pc but found that the wife and I typically surf while on the couch watching TV so we went all laptops and wireless. I have extras so when I'm in the garage or we have visitors everyone can play. |
One Mac with a 23" Cinema and a P4 with a 22" Cinema. Assorted crap piled and spread everywhere.

What's with all the CDs on the wall. Music Collection?? or New Modern Styling ?? |
|
First night in the new office. Bare bones for now, but you get the idea. Had to reduce the flash or the light would bounce like crazy off the corrugated sheetmetal wall treatment.

Custom made desk and cabinets to fit the space |
Motion, I love those displays! Are the CDs just hanging there for quick access or is it art?

My basement "office" (temporarily)
The computers are down the basement until the home renovation project is done, then they're all going in the new den, along with the drumset, guitars and keyboard. We'll finally be out of the basement! Yessss!!

Yeah yeah I know, low on wine and what's up with the *****y monitor. Once my tax refund shows up I'll spring for a nice 20" lcd. |
Chris and Bryan - The CDs are multimedia CDs I've created for various companies. Its a good way to display them... I just put a push-pin in the wall and hang the CD on it.
