I prefer the click-click-click of the Dodge slant-6. But the Falcon was a cute little car..

I think I still have my "Let's get the Falcon Hell out of here" T-Shirt somewhere.

Trouble is it's a size 8.

i almost had one... my grandpa sold it when i was 15... i was soo close to being into cars.... just had to hop behind the wheel....

sad thing is he sold a 63 falcon with 36000 miles on it for almost nothing.... and gave the yard boy a bronco on top of it...(you could see the ground below you when you sat in the bronco)

I actually learned to drive a manual transmission car in a Falcon ('66) I think. It was my girlfriend's car when I was a sophmore in high school. It had the shifter on the column. Oh, the sweet memories of the back seat, hell the front seat, of she and I in that car.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul!

My dad had one. '63 170 C.I. 6 cylinder, 3 speed on the column. It ran forever. Was a Saturday ritual to perform some work on it but I'm not sure it was always needed, it was just what he liked to do. Only thing he enjoyed more was VWs.

I almost bought a convertible Falcon about 6 years ago, but the guy sold it out from under me. I bought the 911 instead and I'm glad I did. The Falcon is a very cool car, especially the convertible!

My new company car is a 2005 Ford (Falcon) Fairmont, in a charming shade of dark blue. I've had it about 2 weeks. I'll take some photos if you guys are interested... The ones below are pinched from a review website.

Rear-drive 4.0 DOHC inline six + variable intake and exhaust cams = 182kw (~245bhp). Very smooth, quiet and powerful, but not especially involving to drive. Ford Australia have Hi-po models for that (320, 350 and 395 bhp). It's the entry luxo model. Lots of interior zoot, but without leather. Dual-zone climate, a great audio system, tiptronic style auto shifter and decent handling.

Nice car, thanks Boss!

1963 Ford Falcon was the first car I ever drove, (kind of). We had a new '63 wagon, maroon, from 1963 until '69 or '70 when my Mom got her new Maverick. I used to sit next to her and steer sometimes, I still remember her explaining how the fender top emblems and hood ornament were used as "gun sights" to aim the car and darned if she wasn't right, your lane from the driver's seat was perfectly framed by them.

I'm the only guy I know who has blown up a Slant-6 engine. I liked Darts also. Didn't have a Falcon, but I did have a '65 Fairlane with the 289. Nice engine.
