Clipping Others' Posts

I got a question. I'm still not interested in trying to be cute or confusing or insulting (well, maybe a little insulting occasionally....a guy's got to have his fun), but I would like to know how to take an excerpt from another post and paste it onto my post. You guys do this. It winds up with lines separating it from your post. It's got the original author's name and it's bolded, usually. How d'ya do that?

Superman: if you wish to quote someone, hit the 'quote' button on the lower right hand corner of said person's post, and it will bring you into a reply box with the quote neatly formatted.

if you hit quote on their post it'll do it, then you just have to chop up their message until it fits your agenda, err, i mean, until you get the piece you need

how do you break it up though? I mean say I pose 6 questions, how do you reply in order with your answers in bold beneath each question? I know I've seen this.

I think that's a little more difficult... You have to use the board's HTML-ish syntax to get the pieces the way you want. Use the square brackets and quote to start the massive indent, then {B} (replace the { } with the square brackets) and then {/B} when you want to stop bolding... it's kindof goofy

Moderately difficult, there's an opening and closing tag set for the quote, you can just copy and paste the opener and closer to make individual blocks.

Yes, but the "quote" command only quotes the response, not the quote that was quoted from a previous thread when the quote button was pressed. This is getting complicated.

Try it with one of the above.
