check out hemmings motor news(online at hemmingsmotornews.com), even if there isn't the right one advertised for sale there are a lot of "old radio guys" with general ads there who can put their hands on just about anything.

A few show up for sale on 356talk occasionally, and theres occasionally some on eBay as well. But you won't find anything new... JC Whitney sells an 6->12 inverter that should be enough to power a radio, amp, and speakers...

Something that I've done with my 1938 Buick is to install both the factory original radio and an aftermarket radio....the original is one of the centeropieces of the dash (chrome grill, art deco knobs, etc) but for all of its grandeur it is still an old tube type AM radio. So I have one of the voltage converters that id10t mentioned powering a CD unit I installed in my glove box. That way the originality is still there but I can listen to legit music rather than talk radio.
