Why do FedEx and UPS Taunt me with their fancy schmancy online tracking?!
Especially when it doesn't even freaking work?!?!
The last 5 packages I've tracked with FedEx have been dead on about their estimated arrival date, but when I look at the summary of the trip, it shows the departure from the original location and that's _it_ until I sign for the package. For kicks I went back and looked at my iPod's tracking sheet after I signed for it, and it had every step of the way on the website. Until then though, I was left wondering.
UPS has been a little better... I usually get one or two hops to sit there and watch, and the arrivial time has been really close, usually.
Today I'm sitting here... since 2:00 looking out my window every 15 minutes, wondering when he'll get here. The sound of every truck that goes by perks my ears up and gets my heart pumping. Today's the estimated date for the arrivial of my IceShark lighting kit, but FedEx only has the departure from St. Paul, MN.
Why, oh why do they taunt me so?! I'd rather get just one email saying, "hey, your package is on its way and should be here around 2/22/05" instead of getting me to refresh their tracking page a thousand damn times. As if that's going to speed the guy up.
