Unusual Designs...sleek Speedsters...radical Concepts...

I found an interesting website...............like watercraft?

http://foxxaero.homestead.com/newsplash.html

Here is an article (for example):
http://foxxaero.homestead.com/indsub_04.html
The monthly featured craft is the CHARC (Shark).

The Covert High-Speed Attack and Reconnaisance Craft currently on the drawing boards of Lockheed Martin is designed to protect large navy vessels from attack by small speedboats and submarines. This semi-submersible SWATH design provides a low signature in the littoral environment. It takes the offensive capabilities of a fast attack helicopter and provides them on a high speed surface platform. The craft is a geometrically configurable SWATH. It is tall enough to operate in high sea states, but can be folded so that it can be taken aboard mother ships, or operate in shallow sea conditions. Lockheed Martin hopes to procure funding to build the the first prototypes in late 2006.

Looks like something out of a Star Wars movie, right?
