Wouldn't that have been ironic?

I'm finally getting out of the shop this evening. It's a little late and definitely dark. I rolled the gate closed and locked it. With out looking up I turned around and stepped off the curb and around the rear of my truck and was nearly hit by something driving past. It was close and the blast of wind was stronger than expected. I guess I'm lucky he didn't honk, prolly would have wet myself. I looked up to see a white GT3 fading off down the street. Now honestly he wasn't going all that fast but too fast to get hit by it. I thought wouldn't that have been ironic? taken out by a Porsche and NOT even seeing it coming!
So if you were driving east on Oxnard just about 7:30 and you almost hit a ped, don't worry I'm OK

Glad to hear you didn't go the way of all flesh. Had a similar experience many years ago. I used to date a girl name Marg Meehan from RI. Her dad was filthy rich. He had an armoured car company - about 120 trucks servicing the Northeast, Meehan Armour. Well, I sorta screwed her over, very dumb on my part. The next day, I was walking to class, not paying attention, went to cross the street and an armoured car wizzed by, so close it scraped my nose. I think I was in shock - I looked and it was a Meehan Armoured car.
