				Prayer Team - WTF?

I almost did something stupid today, but decided taking a picture was a more civilized response. Notice the sticker in the opposite window. Also note that this car was illegally parked - big surprise. I think America should be praying about the president - for different reasons.

Wow kach, you and I actually agree on something for once! I hate seeing bible pounder stickers on cars almost as much as I hate seeing those darn ribbons of all sorts. (I do not mind the flag though) (I am a staunch Republican and Catholic to boot!)

How about that flag there? Does it bother you too? What about that "American Company" sticker? That a problem??? I'm kinda only 1/2 kidding with you; the phrase "Big Fat Hairy Deal" comes to mind. Must be a realllly slow day in your neck 'o the woods. | ||

I don't see the point of the sticker, but I also don't see what's wrong with praying for the president.

Kach, I don't see how you have a dog in this fight. Are they praying for your failure? Do you believe that their prayers even have any effect? Are you bothered by the fact that people are summoning (or at least attempting to summon) divine help for our country's leadership? Inquiring minds want to know why this pisses you off! Dan

To me it is like the person is saying that "I am Holier than thou because I have a sticker" or worse yet a fish. IMO, stickers will not convert anyone but they will provide a chuckle to some. I doubt that the stickers will land them a free pass either, so what is the point? I know, I know, to each his own, (which includes my opinion)

I don't see it that way at all. To me it's like seeing a "3" on a car. I just say to myself, "Huh, they like NASCAR." In this case I just went, "Huh, they pray for the president." I don't feel the guy with the "3" is trying to say he's better because he likes NASCAR, or that I should like NASCAR, just that he likes NASCAR. I see the fish the same way.

Well, I see where you're coming from Tim and agree that "holier than thou" attitudes are maddening, but I don't know that you can conclude that without meeting the person.

Today I saw a Chevrolet that had a Cleveland Browns sticker on it. Can you imagine that? The Browns. And, it was rusty--big surprise.

The president as you call him is the farthest thing from a Christian person I can imagine.............perhaps I should pray for his salvation.

What about wee green elfish folk? I know for a fact that we have both seen them dancing around stone-henge.

No - it's a man with long hair wearing ballet slippers, knee-highs and tights. On his knees.
