I saw more anti-social and criminal behavior in one day riding the London tube than I have in the past year riding the NYC subway!

I dont know how you guys put up it!

london is rubbish. the tube is horrible. the systems in operation today are some of the same that were installed when they first opened. that was a long time ago!

As a tourist, I thought the underground was pretty efficient. However, people squeeze in those things pretty closely so if you are claustrophic, it is not a good thing. And they are so many people asking for handouts even mothers carrying their babies asking for money for food. While I obviously don't live there, I will take your word that it needs a lot of improvement. However, the MIND THE GAP is just wrong, it should say WATCH YOUR STEP OR LOOK FOR THE BIG HOLE because in no way is that thing they call a gap, a gap.

"Mind the Gap" is just the way they say it, they invented the darn language btw! I love it when the sanding trucks are out, "Gritting in progress" - just makes me crack up!

The tube is o.k. - it would be tough to rebuild the whole thing. The girls are prettier and most folks are well behaved.. But the drunks, druggie and louts are just too much..

While i was working there a few years back, i spent a rather nasty 2.5 hours stuck in a packed central line train, next to the door (so i couldn't stand up fully), someones sholder an inch from my nose, 50 meters from the platform.
Was not happy when i finaly got home.

We don't use the word "rubbish" enough.

What does "fancy a butchers" mean? From the game commercial.

When i was in London I found the tube to be a pretty amazing feat of engineering.. There werent any real problems with human traffic, but then again I'm from Los Angeles, nothing compares to our traffic. Used to take the 405/101 interchange every day, which is supposedly the busiest interchange in the world.

The only thing that was a real bother were the occasional drunk person at night being loud and a REALLY annoying group of teenagers singing Kylie Minogue songs very loud.
