Just wondering ?!?!
What is the fastest you have ever driven a car or been in a car driven really fast.
I personnally have been to race schools where they tell you how "fast you where going" and I know speedo's have variencies but what is the fastest you driven or been driven in a car?

They told me 165 at Nascar school ( California Superspeedway)
Shootgun 178 in my buddies Ferrari 550 in Arizona, as per the officers that stopped us, the car speedo said 173.

Fastest I've ever been?

approx 180-200mph... free fall from 14,500 feet. (tandem skydive)

Fastest on four wheels? 135mph

145 in my '93 RX7 twin turbo...on my honeymoon!;)

137 in my '95 M3 (speed limiter)

A shade under 130 in my '69 911 (the hairiest of all) :eek:

160-170 mph. in my F-car here in Mexico.

160 in the C2.

140+ when I was young and stupid and hopped up on goof-balls.

120 today when I had a clear road and no cops ahead.

165mph indicated on speedometer. 155mph actual miles?!

on the street 145 speed limited in a Audi TT 225 was a peice of cake very stable..on the Track about 175 in a 956 Lemans car at Sears point which was very scary but I would do it agian

to add to this post .. I was in Germany on a autobahn with 5 porsches drafting at 305 kph in 2005

about 190 in a 993 TT

fastest ever..... Mach 1.2, F-16 :D

137 in my BMW, between the I-82/I-90 cutoff and Selah.
155 (possibly optimistic) on my bike going downhill on I-90, just east of Ellensburg.

(3x) 75 in a 25 (when I was an idiot 25 year old)

As a passenger:
How fast do commercial jets go? ;)

141 (by the tach, gearing limited) in the 911.
155 (indicated) in the Jaguar.
750-ish (indicated) in a 747 with a tailwind.

The fastest of the three put me to sleep.

178 on hwy 101 in san jose.. flew by a cop in the dark.. said he barely seen me go byhim,but heard the noise as he had someone pulled over... thanks to being honest,he gave me a 101 in a 70,just wanted to test the speed...OOPS...1006 dollar fine,2 points and a impound!! 1200 to get it back... i still feel it thanks SRGNT....
