registration / title and plates when selling out of state
One of my non P cars is sold to the previous owner and leaves town Wednesday!
How do I go about signing over the title and what do I do with the license plates? What else do I need to do regarding paperwork before dropping it off to the shipper? THANKS! George in the East Bay, CA |

It varies from state to state. Arizona you have to keep the plates. Not sure what CA does. How about calling the motor vehicle registration office or looking on their internet site?
