Cool Google Satellite Maps
Really cool. Zoom in on your house. I have seen these tools on the net before, but not one that is this easy.
Got to Google Maps Choose satellite & zoom. Ian |
The white dot in the white circle is my 911.

Big brother was watching your car... :D
|
no one can see me...muahahaha
|
That's really cool. All I see when I zoom in is a line as my street. No satellite photo. How do I get the actual photo?
Thanks. |
Never mind. I found it!
|
freaky. in the big scheme of things, we're all cockroaches.
|
If you thought that was cool, I found this site that zooms in even more. Just put your address in the fields to the left and you can see your house up close when zooming up to "house":

I'm told that yahoo also has aerial maps now.

Out of curiosity, I zoomed in on Washington, D.C. It's cool, they have the white house all blurred out, but everything else shows up.
We could make a little game out of this. zoom in on something relatively well-known, or maybe something totally obscure, and we guess what/where it is? |
WOW, I can see my pool. I wonder how often it's updated... Like if I pull the pool cover off this weekend, will I see the change next week?

Sheesh. That is detailed. I put my address in and see my house but can't see the pool....

Thanks for the links guys. This is pretty sweet technology at work and to think we had some of this back in the 70s on the SR71 Blackbird. |
