Web site editing/collaboration question
Hi,
My boss recently built a web site by himself. I uploaded it and now he wants the employees to look at it and make suggestions/corrections to improve the site. How would you recommend we go about that? Is there any software available that let us put the equivalent of Post-it notes on pages we think changes should be made? FWIW, the site has some 40 pages. Thanks!

We just started using a program called OmniOutliner (might be apple only, not sure.) and put the file it uses in our CVS tree. If anyone edits the outline everyone is updated with CVS. Basically, when you click on an outline item, you can add elements to it or attach notes to items. It's pretty handy...
There might be something like this available for windows, but there's probably a better way if you don't want to get into CVS and all of that crap.

Actually it's simpler than that.
Scroll down to the bottom of this post and you will see the text field that I am typing in right now. All your boss needs to do is add a submit box to the bottom of the pages and people can put their comments in. Have the text box submit to a text file or his email addy. I know it's 40 pages but he only needs to do the code once and cut/paste into the html pages. On a Mac I'd use bbedit and run it as a batch. Don't know if the equivelent to bbedit exists for Windows.

screw the traditional site and do it on a wiki. That way everyone can make their own edits.
