True but this is for enterprise customers... Big business's that can afford the initial investment of using VoIP model. I know that I can use my Treo in WiFI spots to place a VoIP call but its not everywhere as it will be in the near future.

Fridge, AC, and pets will one day be IP devices to communicate. Don't yell "Rover come home" simply text message his IP enabled collar and he'll come a running. Rover gets lost... no sweat... just log in to see where his device made a last ping.

This is good for the "security" oriented professional....current or up-'n-coming. Remember how the Network gurus were "THE" guys on the block? Five years later everyone and their brother was going for some type of network certification. Ultimately $100k per year guys were being replaced by $30k engineering grads.

IMO, this is one of the future boom areas as goverment/industry regulations evolve, sophisticated east european hacker rings grow and wireless/open enviroments proliferate.

....yes but that market has been "commoditised" to the hilt. Cisco partners are giving it away or losing business at cost. Engineers started certifying years ago and are now worth menial rates already. Telcos will own this space as soon as your above issues are sorted and we all know what that means.

The next level up is where it's at.

The next level up is where it's at.

These days everyone is a CISCO distributor, including Telcos. VoIP systems are being given away ($$$$) inorder to gain a foot in the door. CCIEs yep, many more in existence from a few years ago...dont forget that many "Technical Trade Schools" offer certification/training on these products. Folks are lured into the 4-year program with hefty student loans. Statements imply that 6-figures are common, when in reality these are few and far between...supply and demand.

Once large Enterprise business is on track, then expect a heavy concentrated marketing effort on SME accounts...

Well I'm not sure about the next big thing in computers...but I do know where the next pot of gold will be....Medicare perscription drug program.

There has to be a computer services angle to get a piece of that action...

That means the next pot of gold is to be found in either Mexico or Canada, where the prescription drugs are cheaper.
