Hell, I'd call it day and head over to Wynn's new hotel; see what the hoopla there is.

I'm thinking very seriouslly of doing just that....

U know this town is so fked up and has such a short memory...I really have a tough time gauging what effect a 40 or 50 house Class Action Lawsuit would have...I know it can't be good...but there was allready a 12 house Class Action with no real ill effects..people from CA just buy in here anyway....

The last time I flew out of Vegas, I saw nothing but housing development. Nothing's slowing down there. A 40 or 50 house CAL would seem to hardly put a dent in its progression.

a civil engineer came up with the plan?

let me get this straight. your existing foundation is settling or heaving, so they are gonna put another foundation in, but five feet away, around the entire perimeter. then tie it to the existing foundation with basically an underground sidewalk? so the main benefit will to protect the existing foundation from water? the cross section is gonna be an upside down opened ended box? are LV homes built on slab foundations? i need to visit you tabs, i wanna see this

cliff

juanbenae 04-28-2005 02:39 PM

somebody is high. and its not me THIS time.

tabs 04-28-2005 02:57 PM

Yep thats the idea and the are all built on slabs except for those with basements..which is an Eastern thing....and the developments wt them around me LEAK.... That outer foundation is supposed to stop water from getting under the existing foundation...it's worked before and thats what the Geo tech people say to do...Sooooo...here I am.....

Ohhhh...no pool...it could only be 8 ft wide...but a spa is possible...

jkarolyi 04-28-2005 03:06 PM

This is why I refuse to buy in these new McMansion neighborhoods I see being tacked together here in SoCal and LV. Wait until a home has been around for 10 years and the bugs have been worked out, and the trees have grown in.

LOL - thanks jkarolyi

Anything more than 10 years old in LV is trash.....there wasn't anything here more than 10 or 15 years ago....just real high end and low end...and not much of the former...so your kinda stuck...

I will say one thing about LV....the Architecture is the epitiomy of no taste

M.D. Holloway 04-28-2005 07:27 PM

all that weight - next thing you know, the home will sink into the desert sands!

tabs 04-29-2005 01:27 AM

Come on now I don't weigh that much....and when the house does go down at least there won't be any cracks in it....

Didn't Dorothy have one in Kansas? I seem to remember coal doors flopping around in the wind.

This is a good one...so easy to respond to ....I almost feel BAD......Let me see now CA and NV are on the WEST COAST of N America.... that would put Kansas EAST of CA and NV...thus my Eastern thing statement is still correct...just like taking candy form a baby this one was....NEXT!!!!

RickM 04-29-2005 12:10 PM

I knew you'd say that.

gaijindabe 04-29-2005 12:25 PM

Does anyone build properly out there? Is anything built to last?

Does anyone buy a home and expect to live in it for the rest of their days?

creaturecat 04-29-2005 04:47 PM

does the house have drainage tile around it?

So what U are really saying is that there is no underestimating the predictibility of stupidity....come right out and say what you mean and stop futzing around the bush....be a man, be direct and stick it right in....instead of a "flopping in the wind" limp *****, Viagra chewing Liberal...
