Anyone sell a car to CarMax
Looking at getting a new car, and don't want to go through the headache of selling it.
I know that Carmax buys car, but is it a rip off, or do they give you the same that a dealer might? Thanks

Took my Accord over for a cash offer, they were giving me 2K more then the stinking BMW dealer.

My sister used to work for CarMax and bought a couple of cars from them and has nothing but high praise for CarMax.

I've sold 2. both got me a good bit more than the dealer and less hassle than private party.
My last car, i settled on a price to buy with the dealer and then drove to carmax for a quote, sold it to them and the dealer sent down a porter to pick me up to buy the new car. the ride with the 'porter' was interesting. I'll never buy a dealer demo car because of it.

Bought the X5 from Carmax and traded the wife's car. It was better than the dealer book but a little less than private sale.
After figuring in the reduction in sales tax if they took it against the X5, it was a good deal. It was also a zero hassle deal. Good deal for the X5 (2000 with 42K miles) and a resonable price for the Mits.
