My statement was meant to be taken as sarcasim. There is no way gun control laws prevent criminals from commiting crimes with firearms. Gun control actually encourages it by taking firearms out of the hands of law abiding citizens. This has been proven over and over and over throughout history.

In my opinion, the Right to Bear Arms is an individual right, any State that does not have a "shall issue" policy on CCW is violating its citizens' consittuional rights, and people who believe stict gun control laws are necessary are either ignorant or delusional.

I do have my CCW but in some ways it feels weird as the state could some day just come to my house and say " we want your whole collection and these are the serial numbers". Plus not all LEO's have enough knowlege of CCW laws here thay just confiscate and then you have to sue the county to get it back.

Empirical evidence that cops really aren't that smart.


Bullets, from just about everything larger than .22lr will easily penetrate an automobile's sheet steel or aluminum. Just about any rifle round will go straight through the whole car like a hot knife through butter, save for when it may strike a frame member or some sort of reinforcing structure.

Basically, if someone is shooting at you, a car is not cover, it's barely concealment.
