te gusta:That is present tense of Gustar

Imperfect means past, but incomplete

te gustaba

regular past

te gustó

Future

te gustará

Go to the Book Store, and buy either 501 Spanish verbs or the smaller easier to carry book "Spanish Verbs", both by BARRONS.

Cool, I am in Spanish 2 now, and we did a similair thing.
Here are some helpful verbs in the imperfect:

Ser (to be):

yo: era
tu: eras
ud., el, ella:era
nosotros: eramos (accent over "e")
Uds., ellos, ellas: eran

Jugar (to play):

yo: Jugaba
tu: Jugabas
ud., el, ella: Jugaba
nosotros: jugabamos
Uds., ellos, ellas: jugaban

Comer (to eat), Tener (to have), Beber (to drink):

yo: comia, tenia, bebia
tu: comias, tenias, bebias
ud., el, ella: comia, tenia, bebia
nosotros: comiamos, teniamos, bebiamos
Uds., el, ella: comian, tenian, bebian

*On -er verbs, accents are over the "i" in all forms.
* Specify either "yo" or "ud., el, or ella" before the verb since both these forms have the same endings.

Sample sentances:

"Cuando yo era nino, yo era un poco gordo y yo comia mucho".

"Mi padre jugaba mucho futbol tres anos pasado".

"La profesora de mi clase de ciencias naturales daba buenos notas".

Hope this helps!
