Yes, you probably did feel something...

Just reported that last year's quake that triggered the tsunamis was the largest ever recorded.

WOW!

84porsche 05-20-2005 09:14 AM

That's insane. I wonder if science has anyway of being able to dissipate a tsunami should another one exist or be created.

Related in some sense, seismologists have determined downtown L.A. is slowly moving north toward the San Gabriel Valley at about 8mm a year. The fear isn't the fact downtown will, in 1 million years, be sitting atop the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena, but instead the earthquakes that will occur because of this seismic movement. It is said that downtown L.A. can expect a nice 6.0 or greater rumbler in the not-so-distant future.

Just think how much your 911 will be worth if California falls into the deep blue!

What's up with "the" (this or that)?

Seems to be a California thing.

island911 05-20-2005 11:53 AM

Ya mean; Seems to be a the California thing.

Drago 05-20-2005 11:58 AM

island911 05-20-2005 12:12 PM

dd74 05-20-2005 12:48 PM

Freakin' hilarious! When's that new show about hip, young, sexually confused hoodies and gangbangers come out? I think it's called "The" Compton.

Eric Coffey 05-20-2005 01:11 PM

Well, I live in the desert, does that count? Yeah, it's hot, but the people are SO not as annoying as those who live in the Kalifornia. :D

Oh, and to keep it somewhat on-topic:

The biggest quake EVER recorded here was like a 5. something.
