I 'found' a 916 sitting in the back of a shop in San Francisco in 1976. It was black with a burgundy leather interior and there was no price I could offer that would pry it out of the owner's hands. He had a habit of driving it around SF and parallel parking, and the nose was broken up from the 'park by ear' types.
Damn, I wanted that car! |
Hay - Like I said, I am in CT this week. If our young buck wants to establish some crediblity he can give me a call on my cell (214) 450-7864 and I will drive up and check it out. I even have a dig camera to validate.
I suspect we will not here from the young James Dean anytime soon if ever! Then again, I have been proven wrong once... |

I got back home yesterday from a vacation trip to Niagra Falls, and all this talk of the old lady and the cars got me to thinking of an old joke...
Can anyone tell me why tightrope walking across Niagra Falls and getting a BJ from an old lady are so similar? Ed |
One look down and it's all over?
|
;)
Yeah, something like that. The line I heard was, "In neither case should you ever look down." |

Gee, what happened to the 550? You didn't think we were going to let this B.S. thread die did you?

Maybe he should put the address to the barn up on eBay.
|
If I find a car in a barn, I'm keeping my mouth shut.:D
It was BS, oh well, fun while it lasted. |
What ever happened to the Barn Car ?
I think we should report this to Snopes.com.:) |
The owner's down to $500, but he's sweating her for $400. Stay tuned.
