That is funny. I wish my drool was as funny when I saw one in person over the weekend. Man, those are sweet cars!

Dealer markup in So. Cal, BTW, is $10K.

Cute kids, cool car.
What takes place of the Espirit? No more flagship for the company?

Yeah, The car is sweet. Drives on rails. Feels a bit underpowered until 6K then it really kicks in. Anyone know why? It's NA, so it must be in the cams and timing?

I mentioned this to a Lotus engineer at the LA Auto Show two years ago. His response: that very proper British way of saying "**** you!"

Yeah, torque and power comes on very high in the rev band, so you have to keep it spooled up. I've got a 7.31 r/p in my 911, though I also have a lot of torque, which makes things very manageable in city traffic. The Lotus, on the other hand, has a little 1.8 Toyota engine with very little torque. Daily driving would be questionable.

I think that daily driving would be cake. Like driving a Camry or something. No cough, no sputter, no nothing… ‘till it hits 6K that is, that is NOT a flat HP/torque curve.
