I saw those pics last week, I doubted they were from Lake Conroe and it appears they are not. http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/g/gator.htm

Kennedy Space Center (Florida) has some really big gators. I saw one in a drainage canal once (stood about 5 feet directly above it) that was every bit of 14 feet long. Scared the crap out of me.

Well - I live on Lake Conroe and I guess there could be gators up on the north end of the Lake. There's been several sightings on the "TV News" of gators 'below the dam' (but only about 8 footers). But it's been confirmed that these photos were taken somewhere else (Georgia?) -- at least that's what the guy from the Chamber of Commerce said before I bought my house. The next thing you know, someone'll be claiming that the 645lb catfish killed last week came out of Lake Conroe. Now that'd be something to talk about.

What you don't see is the two guys in the bass boat and Skoal hats just out of view. One of them has his bait casting rig just about bent in half, and the other one's wrapped around his legs trying to keep him in the boat. If they land this puppy they'll sell a million "doe in heat" crankbaits next year...
