Audi TT
I'm in need of a reliable daily driver. The 944 I bought 4 months ago has been a disappointment to say the least. I'm looking at the Audi TT as a replacement. It's hard to overlook the used car value of it. Can anyone comment on them?
Thanks

it's not the most practical of cars, especially when compared to a hatchback
when they break, you'll pay a lot to fix it Jeremy Clarkson calls it "pretty titty" ![]() I've driven one for ab a month, it's all style over substance, I was happy to get out of it. test drive it, maybe you'll agree |

Do not own a Audi without a warranty. My A-6 drives me nuts. Its going in again. Now that the coolent leaks are fixed we are moving on to the rediculas oil consumption. Like 1 quart every 3 tankfuls.
My A-6 is a love / hate relationship. I love the way it drives (especially in the rain) and hate the constant issues. If it isnt having electrical problems its something else. I have owned it for 1 year now and its going in for visit #7 for a service issue.

My wife has been driving a TT for the last 4 years and she absolutely loves it.
Maintenance has been very low so far (only an airbag ring needed replacement) but that is probably because the mileage is still very low (under 40k). The 1.8T engine is amazing and has a very good reputation, being used in many VWs, Audis, Seats, ... Different animal to an A4 or A6. |
