How often do you look at/touch your car

I've developed this fairly worrying habit of saying hi to the car once a day. It's never happened with any of my other cars so I'm wondering how many of you have a look or run you hand down the side every day or so.

When I go around locking doors at night before bed, I stick my head out into the garage "to make sure the door's closed."

But it's really to say goodnight to the cars. They like it.

My 19-month-old son has taken to dragging a stuffed puppy dog around everyewhere he goes. I've seen him try to give the stuffed animal milk and pretzels. He also kisses it a lot. To a certain extent, I think sports cars are stuffed animals for grownups. Not that I kiss my cars...usually.

PS - I think we should be able to vote for "my wife thinks I'm crazy" AND "Once a day."

Whenever I am in the garage, I like to visit with my P-car and at least say hi when I can't drive her. I am sure that once I start the projects I am going to have quite a difficult time not driving her around.

My SC's a daily driver, 156 miles a day. When I'm at work I look at it out the window in the lot several times a day, just to be sure it's safe. I try to park on end spots and keep away from all the trucks in the parking lot. I worry about her.

At least three times a day. Now that I have my license, I drive her at least once a day for a few miles. Then at night, I go in the garage, sit in her and put on a CD in my new CD player and listen to music for about an hour while sitting inside and fantasizing about the next drive, or just about owning a Porsche, or even going on ******* patrol. I know, I'm crazy.

You're just getting your license and you have a car that looks as sweet as yours? Man, I really feel this uncontrollable urge to punch the living...ummm, 'scuse me, I believe my jealousy was showing.

Great looking car, Matt! (Lucky sunnufa... )
ooops, there it goes again!

haHA. i have a detached garage, so i sometimes go days without seeing my car. oh, well.

i have a work vehicle, so that is my daily. lately, i have been wrenching on the nine, so i have my hands up in the guts. oh well again.

matt, dont run down that battery. my alt rebuilder always tells me, "a 911 alternator is the worst battery charger".

Thanks for the info Cliff. I'm only driving it on average of 10 miles a day, so the drives are short. I really packed some miles on during the weekend and the last couple of days though (about 120 miles).
Randy, I'm in my room now .

Any suggestions stuart? I figure I'm not kissing it so that's ok On my old wagon I had to blow coolant from the overflow tank back into the radiator when I was a poverty stricken student (blown head gasket - yup subaru) and for about three weeks it looked to any onlookers like I'd be giving the car a big lingering smooch every time I started it. Quite funny.
All will be well when my gf returns from os - pehaps I've just been projecting.

hehe - ok. Got to be honest though, used to work behind a bar in a strip club so they don't hold a lot of allure for me these days. But who knows, maybe it's been long enough & it will be fun again.

Every day, I drive it daily

If I am not driving it, I check on it. The comment from Colin hit home with me since I woke up the other morning to find that I had left my garage door cracked open all night !!!! HORROR!!! After making sure that everything was there, my heart started beating again.

I don't touch the paint though, it scratches it

At work, I am the only person in the whole company who takes up two spots. I park where others don't go (too far for them) and still take two! Funny too since there are rich people in this company who drop many more times $$$$ on their cars and treat them like crap!
