What do you think goes on at Area 51?
Moneyguy1 mentioned Area 51 in another thread. Got me thinking about if it really exists and what goes on inside. I've watched enough "In Search Ofs" by Leonard Nimoy to be curious. I think if there is an Area 51, it's used only as a weapons development site and nothing else. No aliens except former USSR scientists working for us now.

I think it's a testing facility for experimental aircraft.

Weapons Development.
If you want to read the greatest "conspiracy" novels, there is a series of them called "AREA 51" by a guy named Doherty. Entertaining and an attempt (fictionally) to tie up all the anomolies in history to alien technology. I enjoyed them, but prefer to keep my feet on the ground. Saying that, living in AZ with clear skies and being an amatuer astronomer, I have seen a few things I cannot explain over the years. |
Yeah, interesting subject. I watched a show about Bob Lazar the other night and he, if nothing else, tells a pretty good story.

Flashes of light (diffused) right over head on a number of occasions. I wondered if that was what would be categorized as "sprites" (lightning way up high), but so far no confirmation. Have seen on one occasion jets from Davis Monthan AFB chasing something across the sky that did not have marking lights.

Secret plane and weapons development. Or anything along those lines that needs to be kept far from public view. Wouldn't be too suprised if there was a Gitmo of the SouthWest there as well...

We use to do alot of riding in the desert and see many unknown to us aircraft flying around. I bought a Porsche in 1990 from a guy in Boron, Ca. that works at Edwards and he explained to me that they build alot of secret planes there.
The UFO shows say the remains of the 1947 Roswell crash is there and others say it's been moved to Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, Ohio. |
Hey..we have our share of cloudy days. We have to suffer through about 30 every year!!
That make you feel better? P.S. Take up radio astronomy..Don't need "clear skies". Just kidding... |
They are developing next generation mirror balls and colored dance floors.
Oh...I thought you said Studio 54....nevermind. |

Buddy of mine that worked on the F117 while it was still "secrete" was stationed in Area 51
Flew them in on a Monday and flew them out on a Friday. Plane had no windows. Told me that the base was sectioned off and you where only given clearance to the areas to your job required you to be in. He programmed and maintained the radar systems for the F117. |

That's for YOU mister clear skies and all that... :D |
For several years, my address was Mercury, Nevada.
Base is used for flight test, and weapons/range programs that would be too visible at White Sands or Ft. Huachuca. Proximity to NAS Fallon and Nellis gives credibility to MilitaryOperatingAreas and airspace requirements. Proximity to NTS allows security to be tightest without need to explain to pesky public forums. Anyone that has driven on US95 past the site has seen their cell phone get 4 bars, but no service knows how things work out there. |
Al Gore was programmed at Area 51.
|
You get cancer at area 51, but can't prove anything because of "National Security" reasons.
