New Job - Any Maritime Investigators out there?

I've picked up a new job (will be trialling it for 3 months to help decide if I want it). It will mean a move to the City of Brisbane which is the capital of Queensland (Australia), where the Barrier Reef is

Basically going back to my old roots - marine investigations, never expected to, but the position pays too well I'll be investigating collisions at sea, groundings, pollution and some other anti-terrorism aspects.

Anyone else work in this field?

Could be fun, know several people who used to do this but lost touch with them.

As we get a bit older its nice to get a bit more civilized. Out in the bush was probably fun when you started but might be nice to sleep in a bed every night these days.

Hope it works out!

Tech, not quite... although that sounds like a great job. This new job relates to current maritime incidents such as large ships running aground down to *****s on jetskis breaking their necks in the surf. Mainly cause and effect investigations and the odd legal prosecution.

Joe, I am looking forward to being home a little more - I do love my own bed these days
