Only the most select homes in LV...don't have for sale signs....they are usually sold word of mouth....and very quickly to discriminating buyers....

Its the same thing here in Phoenix. Houses rarely have a realtor sign on them the last year, its all word of mouth and kept in the local office. Only when something has not sold in a week (usual is 4 hours or less at list +$20k) then they put it on multilist and it goes...

Mine has gone from $215k to $440k in 3.5 years. 2200 sq feet with large corner lot, pool and yes, the funny rock style grass in the yard. At least it does not take much water...

What exactly is the purpose of a lawn jockey? I know at one point they must have served a purpose, like the other junk you put on your porsch - boot scrapers and stuff. But really, what are they for?

But escaping slaves understood then that the jockey statue would guide them to the Underground Railroad and to freedom. (In Following the Drinking Gourd, the lyrics surreptitiously suggested slaves follow the "drinking gourd," a nickname for the Big Dipper, which pointed to the North Star and the way to freedom. Among other things, it advised that travel was safest in the spring – "when the sun comes back.")

The jockey, in a similarly secret way, pointed to safe houses along the Underground Railroad.
