hows this for an idea?
instead of spending the millions of dollars it costs to send up a shuttle we spend the money on feeding the hungry or hiring new teachers or police (the non radar equiped type).
or use the money to fund recerch for altermative fuels? |
Support for JPL gives a better ROI, IMHO.

Like your suggestion, but let's go one better. Bring our young kids home from Iraq, Fire Bush, Chaney, and Halliburton so they quit sucking the life blood out of our economy and our country's future, save enough from that to do all you suggested and probably still have enough to play spaceman.

I say we put the homeless and liberals on shuttle missions and let them "save" (destroy another planet. So the rest of America can get on with our business
|
or RacerBVD could sell his stable and support a small nation for 3 years!

I've always thought we should get a little island where liberals are free to tax as they please, make whatever laws they want, fornicate with whatever they feel like, and watch their policies fail.

"I've always thought we should get a little island where liberals are free to tax as they please, make whatever laws they want, fornicate with whatever they feel like, and watch their policies fail." The thing I love most is the irony of this free country where anyone who questions policy is told to leave. |

It's not like we'd be exiling libs, this would be a voluntary thing where they could go and experiment. It would be great to see them be able to institute their policies as hardcore as they want to, then watch them fail, over, and over, and over. It'd be their own little petree dish of filth and immorality... but they'd call it paradise. |

get NASA to perfect the solar panel and make it cheap.
how much spent on the war, sofar? let's say 300billion, round it off nice and neat. my friend got an estimate for $25k to install one on his house. that is enough money to put up 12 million solar panels. how many homes are there in the US? it would be really good for the earth, and the the gov wouldnt car about me putting SSI's on my 81 SC. |
Has there ever been a richer society in the history of the world. And dont we get tax break for a bunch of this stuff?? Who in the wild, wild world of sports are we waiting for?
Hungry neighbors? Join that food bank. Lack of teachers?? Become a literacy volunteer. Hey, or even an auxiliary police person. (They never have radar.) Alternate fuels? Get the snapper running on corn liquor. If you (we) wait for the Feds, this aint never going to happen.. |

How's that been workin' out for ya, Bryan? |
Pretty good, as evidenced by the 50 million peeps we freed in the mid-east. The only people upset about all of this are you guys and the terrorists. Kindof makes me feel all warm inside.
