A different kind of "model"

Hi there ya'll. I have recently been convinced that I should pursue modeling. Please check my pics out and my website and let me know you're feedback - rate me, critique me, complement me and talk me up to your successful photographers, too! I'm laid back, so feel free to comment away - Thanks in advance!

My two cents...............

RE:
http://www.modelmayhem.com/pics.php?id=25527

1. Bikini picture is your best one - it's the grin, like it.

2. Never put someone hotter than your self in the same picture.

3. Get a better photographer, lighting in the last two pictures is not as good as the first two pictures. Lighting is as important as you are.

4. Car guys are going to react to different stimuli than fashion professionals. I am a design professional and apparently reacting to techincal details of the photographs. Is there anything wrong with your teeth? Why are they not showing?

5. I guess you are the right height and weight, right time, right place who knows what can happen - good luck.

on the modelmayhem site, your worst pic is the one that you have "up front" (looking over your shoulder in the skirt) so I woudl replace it. I agree with kach (for probably the first time in my life) that you're hot in the bikini shot.

Tshabet, thank you
which bikini shot are you referring to?
Also, what about the "looking over my shoulder" pic is not good? me, or the lighting?

My onemodelplace site...doesnt seem to be coming up when you click on it. You can go to where it says model ID or model # and type in 189322. Only one new pic on there..
I have several shoots coming up so there should be more photos in a week or two. I appreciate the feedback so far.

In the "over the shoulder" shot both you and the photographer look amateur....fuzzy, not well framed, etc.

yeah, it was my first pic ever to put on the site before I got hits from photographers wanting to shoot me professionally. I plan to take it off once I get the better ones developed.

I run a commercial photo studio in Chicago and we use models all the time--PM me if you want me to send you some comps of the models we use so you can see the lighting/poses/attitudes/wardrobe they have.
Christian.

1 - "Sly" ... I'll be the first dissenter. It's not bad, but the background is distracting. Wider aperture would have cleaned it up some, or using a simpler background.
2 - "Mystique." I'm sorry, but I'm not mystified. Really, you've got more of a mischeivous look than a mystical look. Photographically, it's a pretty good shot -- good background, good sharpness, it works. The problem is that the composition draws your eye to the other girl. The scarf/boa/thing seems like an attempt to connect you two, but it doesn't quite work, imho.
3 - Sensuous -- You look unhappy. Very unhappy. The small mouth, the angled-down face, the dark eyes -- it says unhappy to me. And I'll second the lighting comments from above. It looks like flash-shadow around the left side, and it's pretty distracting. The other note is composition -- your face is centered. Ideally, the photographer would have placed your face off-center, so that you (rather than the background) fill the image, and the viewer's eye is led across your body to your face. The below cropped image should illustrate that.

4 - Untitled, looking back over shoulder - Good modelling work, bad photographer. Your pose is nice; I won't go into detail, but it works fine. The lighting, however, is just awful, I'm sorry. Mostly washed out, big shadow in lower right, with no contrast across your face.

I hope that helps, and that I'm not too harsh -- you've got a great start, but you need a better photographer.
