My ten-year-old daughter will be very sad. We have the first two seasons on DVD, and they're her absolute favorite.
I'm going to watch a few episodes with her tonight. |

The really sad thing is that he never got much money for that show & 0 residuals. It all went into the producers' pockets. Denver remained a class guy despite the type-casting that was the result of the show, and was happy to play to the fans - unlike Tina Louise.

My call sign in the Navy was 'Maynard G'.
My last name is Krebs. Before he was Gilligan, those old enough will remember Bob Denver as a beatnick named Maynard G. Krebs on the 'Dobie Gillis Show'. His girfriend was Zelda, and he was into the bongos and saying "Cool, Man!" long before it was cool. RIP.
