If it were mine, I'd replace the 28 row cooler with a Carrera cooler with fan. Mine never touches 220 degrees. In 100 degree weather stuck in traffic, the car runs at 200 degrees.

I have a trombone in my 2.7L with a 5 blade - I never get to 100C in Texas heat. Then again, I run my oil in it as well.

As far as oil that I am running, unknown, I just got the car. I was told it had dyno oil in it to break in the new cams. I am switching over to Amsoil 20/50. Hence my question about how to get a complete flush out of it. I guess I'll do a couple of changes over the next 3000 miles to help get it switched over to full synthetic.

I might be able to help you flush out the old oil. We have a flushing oil that you add to the exsisting - takes 1 qt for every 10 in the system. Let it circulate for a few days then drop it out. It is very safe. It doen't contain any acids or solvents. I have used it on my Targa and all my other cars as well as hudreds of different engines including turbo chraged ones. BTW - What is the proper procedure when you see another Porsche on the road. I was next to a Boxter yesterday and waved, he looked shocked and waved back.
Today I saw a beautiful 356 Cabrio it was red and perfect. I drove past him slowly pulling into the turn lane. He went by me as he got a green light and wouldn't even look my way. I look like a dork waving. Oh well.
