Venard was about 90 when he died in 2001...he is an Abstract Expressionist...
I know that his prices peaked in 1990 and fell off until he passed away...now they are on the rise again...the painting I have is probably worth 8K to 10K... As for appreciation...the painting at Julias was estimated to be 800 to 1200 and it went for $3700....what does that tell U..... Whats interesting is that around 1960 Venard had some kind of Gallery showing in LA...and it became de rigor with the Hollywood set to own one of his paintings... |
