I must have been 9 or 10 years old when I was riding my bike with a childhood buddy. This guy and girl were having a heated arguement in the middle of a busy NYC street, so heated we stopped to watch. After some screaming the guy storms off all pissed but he stopped at me for some reason and said "Kid, whatever you do don't ever, EVER get married!

I'm 30 years old now, still not married. I think it's funny how I still remember that day so clearly and wonder if it has anything to do with it.

Very easy for me, about 12 years ago, I got stopped in my 2nd Porsche, my girlfriend (well, EX at the time) was mouthing off to the cop. He took me to the back of the car and said
Quote:
Son, you said that she was an EX girlfriend, do your self a favor and keep her an EX. She is an Ex for a reason
He then pointed out that his ex-wife was just like her. 18 years later, I still haven't really learned (she called again tonight, and I answered) I taught her son how to ride a bicycle, and taught him how to drive a stick, since he got his drivers license this year. I would have much less grey hair had I followed his advise
